About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a part-time, 24-hour remote triage role. As a Hybrid opportunity, this position entails onsite coverage 1 or 2 days a week with the rest of the days being remote after successful completion of onboarding period.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and experience in ambulatory phone triage. They will work closely with Providers, MD/NP/PA and Practice Manager in a busy Primary Care setting, handling patient interactions via telephone and providing guidance in accordance with guidelines/protocols.

The successful candidate will be responsible for triage patient calls, assessing the nature of patient need, and developing a plan of care as a result of the assessment. They will also provide patient education, post-hospitalization follow-up, and may include clinical guidance and support to MA and LPN staff.

Responsibilities
  • Triage patient calls and assess the nature of patient need

  • Provide patient education and post-hospitalization follow-up
  • May include clinical guidance and support to MA and LPN staff
  • Participate in departmental QI endeavors
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Current Massachusetts RN licensure
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
  • Cardiology experience preferred
  • Ambulatory phone triage experience preferred
  • Epic proficiency preferred
