Job Overview

The University of Kentucky is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Clinical/UKHC to join its team. As a key member of the Adult Medicine Services 9th floor, you will provide exceptional care for adult patients with complex needs, requiring comprehensive and individualized attention.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary progressive care team to closely monitor patient physiologic conditions, perform frequent treatments as ordered by physicians, and ensure safe transitions from intensive care to acute care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop, and evaluate comprehensive nursing plans of care.
  • Deliver direct patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction and well-being.
  • Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants).
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements:

This position requires a BSN degree and at least one year of RN experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent direct patient care and critical thinking skills, basic computer navigation skills, and strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation abilities. Additionally, they will be highly motivated, proactive, and confident in advocating for patients and their family members.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
