Cabinet Assembly Specialist

The individual in this role is accountable for the assembly of production casework. A demonstrated capability to affix hardware and construct units to completion is essential.
Work Schedule:
Standard working hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required. These hours may be adjusted based on production demands, and the ability to work overtime is necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and cut lists
- Experience in assembling cabinetry according to defined standards and specifications
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, including but not limited to tape measures, combination squares, table saws, portable power miter saws, sliding table saws, radial arm saws, saber saws, portable routers, screw pocket machines, pneumatic nailers, and staple guns
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, division, fractions, and decimals
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional appearance
- Open and clear communication
- Install hardware components such as hinges, handles, catches, and drawer pulls
- Prepare surfaces and joints for laminating by sanding and scraping
- Ensure completion of checklist
- Bore holes for screws or dowels, either manually or using a boring machine
- Assist in various areas of the plant as needed
- Organize completed work in designated staging areas for delivery
- Contribute to the production of high-quality products
- Perform tasks in a cost-effective manner
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses and seeking assistance with heavy lifting
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance
- Take ownership of work responsibilities
- Exhibit a positive attitude towards personal, departmental, and organizational objectives
- Show respect for colleagues and clients
- Be open to sharing overtime responsibilities
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned
