Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our overnight Emergency and ICU team. As a key member of our team, you will provide compassionate care to patients and clients, working closely with our veterinarians to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
About the Role:
- Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures, preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients during surgery and recovery.
- Perform emergency stabilizing procedures, including CPR, and provide supportive care to patients.
- Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and veterinarians to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, providing excellent client communication skills and a commitment to advancing knowledge and education.
- Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying animals up to 40 lbs, and working for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Veterinary General Practice or Emergency Medicine.
- Strong knowledge of prescription drugs, including usage, dosage, and common side effects.
- Ability to work a 3-12 hour shift schedule, including weekdays and weekends.
- Availability for shift differential.
