Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer in Investment Technology, you will contribute to the application team responsible for developing and maintaining the Separately Managed Accounts platform. This pivotal role involves addressing business requirements that align with foundational principles to achieve long-term objectives regarding functionality, supportability, extendibility, and scalability. You will also have the opportunity to explore the latest technology stack to enhance the existing business model.Your Responsibilities Include:
Developing proprietary, highly scalable technology solutions for custom tax-managed equities, fixed income, and traditional SMA models. Assisting in the creation of an end-to-end portfolio construction, optimization, trade modeling, and rebalancing capabilities for the custom tax-managed equities portfolio management system. Collaborating within a team that includes portfolio managers and traders who are also hands-on developers. Automating data integration processes and establishing a robust data validation framework. Integrating internally developed applications with third-party products.Learning and Development Opportunities
Develop into a full-stack developer. Gain working knowledge of React JS, Python, and T-SQL (SQL Server). Acquire experience with the AWS cloud platform, APIs, and Web Services. Understand DevSecOps practices. Familiarize yourself with the Financial Services/Asset Management sector. Learn about Perform OMS, Advent, and Salesforce applications.Required Experience and Knowledge:
1-2 years of experience in Application Development, engineering, implementing, and supporting enterprise solutions. 1-2 years or advanced experience in Python. Familiarity with Git and Bitbucket Pipelines. Experience in building RESTful services. AWS experience (Lambda, S3, EKS, SQS). Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm. Scripting experience in PowerShell or other scripting languages. Experience with scheduling technologies such as Autosys or Airflow.
