Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Engineer to join our Engineering Automation team at Micron Technology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering DTK (Design Technology Kit) collateral, environments, tools, and flows for the design, implementation, verification, and tape out of custom memory designs.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in mixed-signal, custom IC design flows and experience working in highly technical IC Design or CAD teams distributed worldwide. Familiarity with memory design is preferred, and knowledge of CMOS circuit design, layout, and verification is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day support of CAD tools, flows, and collateral provided by functionally organized CAD teams worldwide to DRAM design teams at the Atlanta DEG Design Center.
  • Drive close collaboration with DRAM design, layout, and verification methodology teams to propose and co-develop capabilities outstanding or under-supported by EDA vendors and deploy outstanding practices and methodologies consistently to DRAM designs worldwide.
  • Drive research and development at the intersection of IC Design Automation and Machine Learning to envision, scope, develop, and deliver ML-based solutions benefiting IC design.
  • Build university relationships in the local Atlanta area to nurture partnered research and development in design automation tools with an emphasis on data science and machine learning applications to EDA.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Masters or Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Years of direct CAD or Design experience in mixed-signal, custom Integrated circuit design flows.
  • Experience working in highly technical IC Design or CAD teams distributed worldwide.
  • Familiarity with memory design preferred.
