Job Summary
The Construction Quality Control Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of a project-specific quality control program, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing project timelines, overseeing subcontractors, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Studies and reviews all project plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure quality control and identify potential challenges
Participates in project meetings, including kick-off, partnering, pre-construction, and design development meetings
Conducts daily site observations to inspect quality conditions and ensure compliance with contract requirements
Collaborates with the project team to ensure delivery of client training sessions and assists in producing O & M or OMSI manuals, warranties, and As-Built records
Maintains responsibility for quality control reports and oversees electronic and hardcopy documentation and filing
Requirements
Five or more years of combined experience in commercial construction as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer
Demonstrated computer literacy and working knowledge of project plans, specifications, shop drawings, samples, and models
Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, as well as building and construction materials, methods, terminology, phases, documentation, and tools involved in construction, repair, or remodeling of buildings and other structures
Desired Skills & Experience
Level 1 EM 385-1-1, CRP, First Aid, OSHA 30-hour certifications
Current USACE CQM for Contractors Certificate and RMS/QCS training preferred
Specialty inspection training and licenses/certs highly desired
Work Environment
The Construction Quality Control Manager will work on an active construction site, in a trailer with job site management team, and at clients' facilities. Job walks and inspections outdoors are required. Jobsite appropriate attire is necessary. Flexibility to work outside normal business hours and travel to project job sites will be required. Travel to job sites includes overnight travel and the possibility of relocation.
