Position Overview:

The Reservoir Engineering Specialist is tasked with performing scientific, technical, and economic assessments of hydrocarbon reservoirs to evaluate forecast and reserve implications, ensuring alignment with corporate production objectives.

This role involves detailed scientific and technical analysis of reservoirs, including the examination of production data, generation of type curves, calculations of hydrocarbon in-place, well testing evaluations, and analytical reservoir modeling.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Production Data Analysis to determine reserves and critical performance metrics of the reservoir. Develop analytical models and project production trends. Monitor reservoir properties and provide recommendations for optimizing completion techniques, stimulation strategies, production rates, and reserve estimates.
  • Project production levels, assess reserves, and evaluate the economic viability of drilling and workover initiatives. May involve data analysis on well performance and enhancements to depletion strategies.
  • Compile and analyze data in preparation for mid-year and year-end reserves documentation, including the aggregation of various well data, production statistics, and budget forecasts, along with basic economic evaluations.
  • Assist in conducting well test evaluations, focusing on well performance and permeability assessments.
  • Contribute to corporate long-range planning by providing requested production and economic data analyses, including capital requirements and production/reserve assessments.
  • Aid in the development of production forecasts and reserve evaluations for potential acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Offer support to the exploration team in evaluating new opportunities.
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual reserve report, quarterly updates, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning by compiling well data, production statistics, capital expenditure forecasts, and conducting economic analyses.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mathematics; Petroleum Engineering is preferred.

Minimum Experience: 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree.

Yes

Working Environment:


The position is based in a climate-controlled office environment with fieldwork that may be subject to varying seasonal conditions, ranging from normal to extreme temperatures and weather.
