Claims Hearing Specialist

* Present informal claim hearing cases at Worker's Compensation Commission offices with minimal supervision
* Make recommendations for disposition and settlement of claims
* Review files prior to attending hearings and meet with assigned adjusters and/or supervisors to understand all issues and recommendations
* Serve as a resource for employees in the branch on the legal/hearing process and file reserving in various districts
* File reports on results of the hearing process and follow up on timely compliance with Commissioner's recommendations
* Work with the Attorney General's office in the event of escalated cases beyond informal hearings

* Five plus years of claims related experience with a consistent high level of performance and achievement required
* Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled
* Valid driver's license and transportation to and from hearings
