About the Role

Linn County is seeking a skilled Childcare Worker to join our team on a temporary basis. As an on-call position, you will be responsible for attending to the needs of children aged 2-5 and overseeing their play in classrooms at our Child Development Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide careful supervision to children on the playground to ensure their safety.
  • Assist regularly-assigned classroom staff in maintaining daily routines, including meal service, toileting, and naptime supervision.
  • Help with cleaning up after activities and assisting with situations of high child aggression or injury.
  • Attend in-service training as directed and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a licensed child care program.
  • Ability to interact positively and calmly with young children.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Able to lift and move fifty pounds on a regular basis.
