Job Summary

Benson's Old Home Kitchens is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Manager to lead our production and sanitation teams. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for meeting manufacturing profits and loss goals, directing production and sanitation activities, and ensuring product quality and adherence to all applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the HACCP team and ensure that the HACCP plan is followed and documentation is recorded for verification.
  • Verify HACCP documentation and communicate with plant management and quality control staff concerning food safety and quality issues.
  • Establish goals and standards for production, plant facility, equipment maintenance, and sanitation in collaboration with other management personnel and company guidelines.
  • Direct subordinates in achieving compliance with quality and regulatory standards (FDA, AIB, OSHA, etc.).
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees and contractors, and participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety programs.
Requirements
  • Licenses and certifications as required.
  • Physical ability to move rapidly and unimpeded throughout the plant.
  • Ability to generate written communication, operate computer equipment, and read and review written documents.
  • Speech and hearing abilities to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
  • Ability to research, develop, and implement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to wear and use safety equipment as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience.
  • Associate or higher college degree, or completion of AIB Master Baker program (if bakery-related position).
