Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care
    • Measure and record patient vital signs, documenting patient interviews and medical history.
    • Communicate patient needs to the healthcare team, including physicians, clinicians, and specialists.
    • Assist physicians with exams and routine screening tests, explaining treatment procedures and instructions to patients.
    • Report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Perform medical procedures as per instructions, collecting lab specimens and conducting basic lab tests.
    • Administer medications, change dressings, and provide first aid procedures under physician supervision.
    • Maintain supplies, equipment, and ensure safety standards are met.
    • Handle patient phone messages, call in prescriptions, and provide health coaching.

    • Follow legal and ethical guidelines for documentation and professional conduct.
    • Collaborate with team members, including physicians, clinicians, and other staff.
    • Develop a solution-oriented mindset focused on patient care and team success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare training.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
  • Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.
  • Preferred experience with EMR systems.
