Job Title: Senior Accountant

Cineverse is a global streaming technology and entertainment company seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record, verify, and consolidate transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure revenue recognition, accrual, and amortization of expenses.
  • Perform complex account analysis and reconciliations to ensure accurate ledger maintenance.
  • Compile and reconcile different sources of data to calculate and recognize revenue.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Present recommendations to management and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support variance analysis and other ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Active involvement in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
  • Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.
Requirements:
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and intermediate-level experience with other MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with journal entries, revenue recognition, and account reconciliations.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in major media, entertainment, or technology services companies is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, experience managing teams and projects.
  • Ability to multi-task, be well-organized, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great interpersonal skills, maintains confidentiality, and remains open to others' ideas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive general accounting experience.
