Educational Systems Specialist - Intermediate

The role of the Educational Systems Specialist - Intermediate involves the creation of instructional materials, coordination of educational content, and the integration of modern technology into teaching methodologies. This position aims to provide educators and trainers with essential guidelines for curriculum development and course execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review content throughout all phases of development to ensure quality assurance and compliance with contract specifications.
  • Maintain courseware lessons that facilitate training on significant military-related systems.
  • Interpret compliance policies and standards relevant to curriculum design and training documentation.
  • Conduct training situation analyses and job task analyses to support the functional design and development of synthetic training systems and equipment.
  • Document the outcomes of analyses professionally.
  • Complete mandatory training as required by the company and clients.
  • Accurately record timesheets daily in accordance with company policies.
  • Travel requirements may involve up to 50% travel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, including a minimum of 24 semester hours pertinent to this position, is required. Coursework must encompass at least four of the following areas:

  • Learning Theory, Psychology of Learning, Educational Psychology
  • Instructional Design Practices
  • Educational Evaluation
  • Instructional Product Development
  • Computers in Education and Training

Additionally, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the instructional systems field, demonstrating knowledge of learning theory and instructional methods.
  • U.S. citizenship and a Top-secret clearance with the capability to obtain SCI.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to attend all client in-person meetings and conferences within a two-hour notice.
  • Familiarity with one or more subjects or occupations related to educational or training instruction.
  • Advanced proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal English.
  • Capability to multi-task in a high-performance environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
