Your daily responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams to develop estimates for new implementation initiatives, as well as planning, coordinating, and executing projects. Specifically, your duties will encompass:

  • Estimating project and solution requirements
  • Engaging with business stakeholders to comprehend necessary functionalities, merging business insights with technical solutions.
  • Taking ownership and driving projects from initial discovery through to successful completion.
  • Creating, revising, and presenting technical documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The IT Systems Specialist (Professional Services) is primarily tasked with project-based assignments, technical assessments of environments, and preparing documentation for client onboarding and service desk use.
  • This role will involve mentorship with a Senior Project Engineer as required.
  • Must possess the ability to manage projects from start to finish, including all aspects of communication, planning, and technical delivery.
  • Basic deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server (including memory optimization and backups).
  • Advanced processes for desktop deployment and imaging.
  • Configuration and deployment of firewalls.
  • Wi-Fi analysis, configuration, and deployment.
  • Implementation, maintenance, and offsite replication setups for Datto/Acronis backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Capability to deploy and document business applications tailored to client requirements.
  • Deployment of Mobile Device Management solutions.
  • Understanding and troubleshooting fundamental networking concepts and configurations.
  • Server and systems setup/configuration as assigned.
  • Adherence to assigned timelines and dispatch schedules.
  • Handling escalations from the Service Desk as necessary.
  • Participation in Professional Services on-call scheduling.
  • Engagement in weekly meetings, some of which may involve client interaction.
  • Staying updated with emerging technologies and enhancing skills.
  • Availability for off-hours or weekend work based on pre-scheduled commitments or emergencies.
  • Maintaining accurate time entries and expenses for billing purposes.
  • Sixty percent (60%) of this position's time will be dedicated to billable project-based work.
  • Twenty percent (20%) will focus on client onboarding and documentation tasks.
  • Fifteen percent (15%) will be allocated to managing escalations.
  • Five percent (5%) will be reserved for internal meetings and administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Configuration and setup of server hardware (including RAID, NIC teaming, and remote management).
  • Proficient in virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Windows server configuration and implementation.
  • Advanced understanding of the Office 365 platform, including setup, migrations, and administration.
  • Knowledge of Group Policies within Microsoft environments.
  • Experience with VM migrations, including P2V and V2V.
  • Setup of Microsoft domains and operating system upgrades.
  • Familiarity with firewall products such as Cisco ASA, Meraki, Fortinet, and SonicWall.
  • Strong knowledge of VLAN configuration and advanced switch setups.
  • Understanding of compliance and policies related to HIPAA, SOC2, and SOX.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Skilled in compiling, organizing, and analyzing complex data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; capable of managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Readily available via mobile and email during off-hours.
