About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Ingles Markets. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including cash handling and inventory management
  • Process transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with the store management team to achieve sales and customer service goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
