Job Summary: The Athletic Event Worker plays a crucial role in supporting the designated area during events.

Detailed Department Overview: This position serves as the Emcee for various University of Alabama Athletics Events. The role is vital in generating enthusiasm, maintaining audience engagement, and ensuring the event proceeds seamlessly and punctually. Responsibilities include monitoring the event schedule, ensuring timely transitions between segments, and effectively managing any unforeseen changes or delays to maintain the event's flow. Additional duties may involve assisting with Marketing and Promotions as needed during athletic events. The primary focus will be on Volleyball, Baseball, and Women's Basketball events, with flexibility to support other athletic events as an alternate emcee.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience as an emcee for sporting events. A strong understanding of the specific sports involved is essential. Prospective candidates may be required to provide sample work or participate in in-person tryouts as part of the selection process.

Background Check Requirement: All final candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation. Information gathered from social media and other online sources will also be considered. A prior conviction does not automatically disqualify a candidate; each case will be reviewed individually before a hiring decision is made.
