About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at ABM Industries. As a key member of our HR organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our HR data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Enterprise Data Governance to align and implement data governance processes, policies, and standards for HR.
  • Maintain the data and analytics governance framework to control, protect, and enhance the value of data and information assets throughout the hire to retire lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain cross-functional collaboration within HR and with groups outside of HR to ensure data is properly managed across the hire to retire processes.
  • Recognized as an expert in data governance, proactively drive the strategy, planning, and execution of solutions to govern data policy and standards, data quality, master data management standards and practices, and data ownership across the HR organization.
  • Disrupt status quo and identify process and compliance improvement opportunities, responsible for process improvement, including evaluating existing processes and procedures, providing recommendations for changes and improvements, and implementing.
  • Accountable for statutory compliance and SOX internal controls and processes for all people-related matters, ensuring that all company-related administrative forms, reports, processes, and audits are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with relevant local, state, federal, and provincial regulations.
  • Maintain the HR data quality scorecard with the HRIT/Enterprise Data Governance to manage HR data quality and governance, liaise with the HR Shared Services, HR Compliance, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Field HR to maintain data quality across hire to retire processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years' of related experience in human resources, change management, or business controls.
  • Effective consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change, and performance measurement system design.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, integrate strategic thinking with tactical implementation.
  • Knowledge and experience in data governance tools and solutions, subject matter expertise, and the ability to shape and influence the way things are done.
  • A thought leader with strong project management, analytical, time management, and prioritization skills, a growth mindset, expertly balancing necessary controls and processes with speed and simplicity.
