We are seeking a skilled Radiology Nurse to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and direct care for Radiology and Interventional Radiology patients, ensuring a family-centered focus.
- Participate in Nursing and department PI activities, serving as a resource for clinical problem solving for the Radiology staff, students, and other healthcare providers.
- Represent Radiology on various committees, utilizing your expertise to drive positive change and improvement.
- Other duties as required, including rotating call duty 24/7 after orientation.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and time management skills required.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred, as is experience in healthcare.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required, as is HRIS and Benefits Carrier platforms.
- Possesses excellent assessment and rapid intervention skills for the Radiology patient that may decompensate during the exam.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Certification: PALS certification within 6 months of hiring.
- Years of experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a pediatric RN.
- Must have excellent IV start skills for all ages, including neonates.
