Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team at Team1Medical. As a Prior Authorization Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the necessary medical care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Certification and Prior Authorization: Comply with pre-certification information and forward it to the insurance company to establish medical necessity and prior approval.
  • Insurance Verification: Perform regular follow-up calls with insurance companies to check the status of the prior authorization request.
  • Patient Communication: Notify patients of any deductible and coinsurance due at the time of service.
  • Additional Information: Contact patients directly when necessary to obtain additional insurance information.
Requirements
  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience is required.
  • Background: Experience in an ambulatory center or hospital setting is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: EMR: eCW experience is a strong plus.
