Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Operations Manager to plan and manage the financial operations of our client. With an annual operating budget of almost $2M and a team of 16, this role will oversee fiscal and administrative integrity, information systems technology, human resources, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts to ensure financial sustainability
  • Enhance financial systems, controls, and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Prepare regular financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Lead the annual audit process to ensure compliance with accounting standards and nonprofit best practices

Grants Management

  • Develop proposal budgets and ensure grant compliance to maximize funding opportunities
  • Provide timely financial reports for grant monitoring and evaluation

Information Technology

  • Manage IT operations and ensure data security to protect sensitive information
  • Develop a comprehensive Knowledge Management System to improve team productivity and collaboration

Operations and Risk Management

  • Oversee contracts, leases, and service agreements to ensure compliance and minimize risk
  • Manage organizational risk across finance and operations to ensure a safe and secure work environment

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of management experience in finance, with 5+ years in operational disciplines
  • Nonprofit sector experience with knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Strong leadership and team development skills to motivate and inspire a high-performing team
  • Excellent financial analysis and communication abilities to effectively present financial information to stakeholders
  • Strategic acumen for long-term planning and decision-making
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Collaborative managerial style to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Full-time; Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
  • Salary Range: $90,000-$95,000
