Job Description:

As a PACS Tech Specialist 3 at M.C. Dean, Inc., you will be responsible for meeting with customers to understand their security needs and developing requirements and test plans. You will identify candidate technologies and evaluate them against the defined requirements, becoming an expert on the system and communicating its capabilities and limitations to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and resolve privacy, network security, and scalability concerns for physical access control systems
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation for system standards and operations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure system effectiveness and assess the need for new solutions
  • Provide subject matter expertise on security engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5 years of experience in a technical discipline or 3 years of experience with a master's degree in engineering
  • Ability to design and sustain PACS Head End systems
  • Understanding of system architecture and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to obtain PACS Vendor Certification within 90 days of employment
Desired Experience:
  • Experience with electronic security systems, including access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and CCTV
  • Certifications in major electronic security systems, such as Lenel, AMAG, Software House, Bosch, and Pelco
  • Experience with IT systems and design, sustainment, and system architecture of physical access control systems
