Job Title: Product Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Development Manager to join our team at Spanx. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of product development and production, from concept ideation to final product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage product life cycle from concept ideation to final garment delivery through executing and delivering on all key T&A dates and development deadlines.
  • Analyze costing during development process and final price negotiations.
  • Attend fit sessions from concept to TOP approval.
  • Partner cross functionally for garment construction reviews and final approvals prior to production.
  • Lead weekly Cross Functional Team meetings.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Design, Tech Design, Merchandising, Materials & Color, QA, Planning) to achieve product development milestones, margin goals, and to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Deliver all development samples on time for line reviews, from concept through adoption, that meet cost and aesthetic expectations.
  • Manage Purchase Order process to ensure product is ordered, produced and shipped on time.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in production/sourcing role.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Understanding of product development, production, garment construction, garment costing, and fabric construction.
  • Experience with bras, hosiery and/or underwear preferred.
  • Results focused with strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload for self and others, with effective time management skills to deliver quality work in a timely manner.
  • Creative problem solver and strategic thinker that proactively seeks opportunities to drive positive change.
  • Ability to provide cross-functional leadership and influence peers in terms of calendar and problem solving.
  • Clear communicator with ability to adapt to different situations and personalities to cater information to audience to cultivate solutions.
  • Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel).
  • Experience with international travel to garment factories and fabric mills.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
