Position Overview
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler role involves the assembly and disassembly of electronic gaming machines (EGM). This position requires a moderate level of complexity, necessitating manual dexterity and a keen ability to adhere to detailed written and verbal instructions. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with various tasks such as loading and unloading shipments, managing parts orders, and refurbishing components.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble EGMs and their sub-assemblies at different stages using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Disassemble EGMs and sub-assemblies during the Return Game Processing.
- Follow established written and verbal instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
- Assess the quality of EGMs from prior processes.
- Maintain an acceptable level of quality and productivity consistently.
- Meet production targets within specified takt and cycle times.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding any issues, improvements, or concerns.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be available for overtime as required to fulfill production needs.
- Keep the workstation organized and tidy through effective station management.
- Assist with loading/unloading trucks and moving EGMs as assigned.
- Pick production orders and run parts to production lines as needed.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks as assigned.
- Observe all safety guidelines and report any safety concerns to leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in assembly-line work (preferred).
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly (preferred).
- Proficient in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Consistently meet production expectations with minimal oversight.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and 6S principles (preferred).
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Vocational training related to the field is a plus.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds with assistance.
- Frequent exposure to bending, twisting, climbing, reaching, and squatting.
- Regular use of manual and powered hand tools.
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
