Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a key member of our Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization Solutions (LSMS) team, you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Engineer in the execution of various program activities, including program reviews, test procedure development, and requirements management.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex systems and precision electro-mechanical assemblies to recommend component substitutions or re-design solutions.
  • Identify, analyze, and solve obsolescence issues.
  • Access, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering drawings.
  • Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Identify program problems and assist in establishing solutions.
  • Act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of programs.
  • Support process improvement and establishment.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Generate reports and present to Government counterparts, defense contractors, and other cross-functional organizations.
  • Research, plan, design, and develop mechanical products and systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.
  • PhD degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 0 years of engineering experience.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain base access to Tinker AFB.

We offer a competitive salary range of $79,800 - $119,600 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
