Position Overview:
As a Heavy Equipment Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving issues with a variety of heavy machinery. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates efficiently and effectively.


Locations:
We have multiple openings across various branches, providing opportunities for skilled technicians in different regions.

Sign-On Bonus:
New hires will be eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus after completing 90 days of continuous service. Additionally, non-bargaining employees can benefit from our Tool Reimbursement Program, offering up to $1,500 per calendar year. Relocation assistance may also be available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and identify issues based on customer feedback.
- Utilize your knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems to diagnose problems.
- Operate various hand tools and equipment effectively.
- Initiate the ordering of necessary parts for repairs.
- Verify that all equipment functions are operating correctly.
- Inspect for leaks and ensure fittings are secure.
- Confirm that torque specifications and tolerances are met.
- Conduct pressure tests and document results.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job-related challenges.
- Propose improvements to procedures or job functions for overall efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with basic hydraulic principles and 12-volt electrical systems.
- Ability to work with wiring systems and programming tools.
- Knowledge of hydraulic fittings and hoses.
- Proficient in operating metal cutting tools and plasma cutters.
- Capable of using oxygen/acetylene torches.
- Competent in adjusting pressures and relief settings.
- Basic mathematical skills are essential.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to completing ongoing projects.
- Practical experience in mechanical design or hydraulics is preferred.

Health & Safety Standards:
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing job functions.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) as required.
- Follow established safety procedures and participate in training.
- Report safety concerns or unsafe practices to management.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time role with standard working hours. Flexibility for overtime and weekend work may be required based on operational needs. The physical demands of this position include lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds, and working in various environmental conditions.
