Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing accurate and timely information regarding healthcare services and policies.
  • Scheduling: Utilize computerized systems to schedule appointments, register patients, and verify insurance information.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility for services.
  • Financial Counseling: Explain patient financial responsibilities, including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
  • Registration: Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accurate and complete registration.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve patient complaints, concerns, and billing issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of medical office and/or hospital experience, preferably in healthcare eligibility and benefit analysis or scheduling.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, basic computer knowledge, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
