Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Service Representative to join our team at Tucson Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, while ensuring accurate and efficient registration and scheduling processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, providing a warm and welcoming experience
• Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Schedule appointments and procedures, utilizing medical terminology and scheduling knowledge
• Explain insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility, providing clear and concise information
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to confidentiality and security protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient registration processes
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum one year of medical office and/or hospital experience, preferably in healthcare eligibility and benefit analysis or scheduling
• Basic computer familiarity and experience with office equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries or complaints from patients and/or their representatives
