Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable QA Engineer dedicated to ensuring the delivery of top-tier machine learning solutions across all Apple products. Your enthusiasm for testing firmware and drivers, along with your expertise in developing automation frameworks and tools, will be crucial in validating core components of the Apple Intelligence Framework.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the software development team to create and execute test plans aimed at qualifying firmware and drivers, ensuring the highest quality standards for our products. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen interest in acquiring new technologies. A proven track record of contributing to successful, high-volume consumer products is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test cases and plans focused on functionality, performance, power efficiency, and stability of the Apple Neural Engine.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks while creating new automation test cases.
  • Document test plans, procedures, and results clearly, assessing the quality of software releases.
  • Utilize continuous integration tools and methodologies to enhance test coverage.
  • Collaborate with development and multi-functional QA teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues, identifying root causes effectively.
  • Influence the team positively regarding testability and strategies for bug prevention.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficient in test automation and tool development.
  • Experience with Python and shell scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in creating system and feature-level test plans and cases.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of Objective-C/Swift, XCTest, and Xcode IDE.
  • Bonus: Experience with Jenkins.
