Job Title: Registered Nurse

Washington Gastroenterology is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Issaquah Endoscopy Center team.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the endoscopy setting, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patient biophysical, psychological, and social aspects to develop a personalized care plan.
  • Organize and implement a plan of care based on the assessment, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Evaluate patient responses and make adjustments to the care plan as needed.
  • Identify pertinent patient history during admission and continually assess patient needs throughout the care process.
  • Initiate care for each patient, communicating effectively with the medical team and staff.
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safe and efficient procedures and quality care.
  • Verify completed charts and records to meet quality improvement goals.
  • Coordinate discharge instructions for improved patient and family compliance.
  • Demonstrate ability to organize and prioritize work, offering suggestions for improved patient care.
  • Maintain current knowledge of medications, especially those related to GI care, and participate in in-services and continuing education opportunities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of GI skills, including admission, conscious sedation, procedure assisting, recovery, discharge, and patient education.
  • Demonstrate consistent IV therapy skills and knowledge of preparation, administration, contraindications, and side effects of medications used during procedures and emergencies.
  • Document all pertinent information accurately, completely, and legibly in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate and utilize knowledge of infection prevention and safety.
  • Demonstrate ability to retrieve and label specimens and document correctly on appropriate records.
  • Complete all department forms and records as indicated.
  • Demonstrate ability to initiate and direct life support measures and perform effectively in code situations.
  • Demonstrate ability to clean and properly care for all equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
  • Previous clinical or gastroenterology experience preferred.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Ability to actively collaborate and build a strong team within the Center and with the rest of WAGI.
  • As a healthcare organization, the candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Physical Activities and Requirements:

Occasional travel may be required to other local locations on an as-needed basis to back-fill for vacations, etc.

Ability to stand and walk throughout the day, up to 10 hours per day.

Prolonged periods of sitting and performing administrative duties, including the use of computers.

Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach.

Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed (up to 15 pounds).

Compensation and Benefits:

Employees (and their families) who work full-time (defined as working 30 or more hours per week) will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and basic life insurance.

In addition, employees are able to enroll in our company's 401(k) plan, which includes a company-provided safe harbor contribution of 3% of annual earnings and the potential for a company discretionary profit-sharing contribution.

All employees will be eligible to accrue PTO at a rate of .04 hours per payroll hour (1.6 hours for a 40-hour week), which can be used for and exceeds the required mandatory WA State and other local ordinances.

In addition, full-time employees will be eligible for a vacation accrual with a maximum annual accrual of 77 hours as a new hire.

WAGI has 8 standard holidays each year for which full-time employees are eligible to receive paid holiday.

In addition, full-time employees will be given 1 float holiday each year that they can schedule.

A new hire full-time employee in this role will be eligible for a hiring bonus in the amount of $3,000.

This is an hourly position, and the anticipated compensation range is $38.00-$47.50.

The hired applicant is also eligible for annual discretionary bonuses.
