Position Overview
We are seeking an Architectural Project Leader to collaborate with our team. In this role, you will receive guidance from senior team members while taking charge of developing project components including elevations, sections, 3D visualizations, and detailed architectural elements. Your focus will be on creating prototypes that emphasize sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all project aspects and assess the scope of work. Formulate strategic plans to ensure project success.
- Review and supervise the preparation of contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Guide the client and project team to ensure the design aligns with budgetary constraints, timelines, and overall project goals.
- Assist in negotiating and formulating project agreements.
- Ensure timely completion and documentation of Project Management Framework tasks.
- Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and subcontractors.
- Manage change orders, contractor payment applications, and other contractual adjustments affecting budget and schedule.
- Collaborate with Operations to determine project staffing requirements and recommend personnel.
- Handle client invoicing and manage collections effectively.
- Ability to support multiple Principals in Charge across various projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of accessibility and life-safety codes, building construction systems, and industry standards.
- Proactive in taking initiative while also following directions effectively.
- Strong capability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
- Team-oriented approach with clients, project teams, and contractors.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Newforma; experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5-6 years of professional experience.
- No certification required.
- Typical office environment with extended periods of computer use.
- Fieldwork may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
