Senior Manager, Digital Project Management

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Digital Project Management to join our team at Entergy. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing project controls and supporting the project team in the development and execution of capital projects to support the Path to the Premier Utility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project controls and support the project team in the development and execution of capital projects.
- Provide SME expertise to other Business Units from initial project development through project completion relating to items that impact the cost or performance of a project.
- Work closely with Business Unit contractor project control representatives to achieve capital project objectives.
- Ensure that the project when complete, will meet the financial and technical performance requirements outlined for the project.
- Continual development and training of project team members to ensure innovation and continuous improvement.
- Promote safe behavior and adherence to the safety rules on the project.
- Implement all Project Management Standards in the area of cost, schedule, scope, WBS, and risk and issues management for assigned projects.
- Perform rigorous and independent project assessments of projects within Entergy's project portfolio to ensure compliance with Entergy's SGP and project management standards.
- Conduct training on the Entergy SGP, project management standards/implementation guides and various project controls disciplines, such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA).
- Assist in the performance of analysis, optimization, and reporting on Entergy project portfolio including assessments of risk associated with completing planned scopes of work according to multi-year budget plans.
- Work with the scheduler assigned to projects to prepare and maintain the Owner's schedule and to integrate the Owner's and all contractor's schedules into the master schedule for the project.
- Work with Cost Analysts assigned to projects to prepare and maintain the required cost reports and forecasts.
- Perform schedule analytics to determine the quality of the schedule and to perform progress assessments.
- Monitor and report on compliance with schedule related contractual requirements by contractors.
- Prepare contingency analysis and report on contingency status.
- Collaborate with the project manager and other project team members to identify, characterize and document project risks in a risk register and develops mitigation plans in accordance with the Standards.
- Work with the project manager and other project team members to manage the Change Management process and document clearly throughout the project lifecycle; documents and tracks approved project changes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management (or related field) OR 15 years equivalent/related work experience (in addition to the Minimum Experience requirement) in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree.
- 15+ years plus capital project development and management experience. Large, complex, utility capital project experience essential.
- 5+ years of experience in the management and control of large, complex utility capital projects with an EPC or Engineering firm is desired.
- 5+ years of Experience of project controls implemented on projects executed under various types of contract agreements including EPC. Both contractor and owner construction project controls experience.
- Teamwork skills to collaborate with project teams and other departments to achieve common goals.
- Superior knowledge and experience in the field of project controls and project management.
- Expert in project controls and project management and construction management control fundamentals.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering and technology for utility design and construction.
- Application of principles, techniques and procedures to the design, construction, commissioning and operations of electric utility infrastructure.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of utility facilities.
- Expert knowledge of the of scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Expert knowledge of scheduling software packages and related analytics.
