Job Overview:

Perkins Coie's summer associate program is designed to provide a comprehensive and challenging experience for law students. The program offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of legal assignments, gain valuable skills and knowledge, and develop a deeper understanding of the legal profession.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in conducting legal research and analysis
  • Participate in drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and other professional activities
  • Work on pro bono projects and contribute to the firm's community service initiatives

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled students in good standing pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at an ABA-accredited law school
  • Demonstrated academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to community service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Application Process:

The application process will require the submission of a resume, law school transcript, a writing sample, and a cover letter explaining your areas of interest and geographical preference.

Additional Requirements for Patent Prosecution Candidates:

  • Admitted to or eligible to sit for the Patent Bar
  • Undergraduate and graduate school transcripts (for Seattle office candidates)

Benefits and Compensation:

This position is not benefits-eligible, but paid holidays are available. Monthly compensation for California, New York, and Washington State is $18,750.
