Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Educator to join our team at Devereux Day Academy in Landenberg, PA. As a Lead Educator, you will play a critical role in supervising and supporting our educational staff to provide high-quality special education programs for students with emotional and behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support educational staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality special education programs.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to teachers to enhance their instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and classroom management strategies.
  • Support the professional development of teachers through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications
  • PDE special education certification required; master's degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges, with experience in unit and lesson planning, writing and implementing IEPs, and administering assessments.
