Customer Sales Executive

Job Summary

The Customer Sales Executive role will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability through assigned Distributor Accounts & Indirect/Retail Customers in the US marketplace. This role will work closely with other functions of the organization to deliver key metrics such as net sales, market share, and trade spend targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve gross sales, market share, new distribution gains, and trade spend targets for assigned customers.
  • Balance administrative, transactional, and some strategic priorities.
  • Create and implement annual merchandising and promotional plans along with respective selling and execution plans grounded on insights and data available.
  • Manage financial responsibilities which may include managing and allocating trade funds.
  • Understand how business decisions impact the P&L.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with customers and internal Hershey resources to develop short-term and long-term business growth plans.
  • Establish customer relationships that will anticipate and resolve any potential problems.
  • Leverage sales skills such as effective communication, planning, and organizational skills to balance all priorities to effectively estimate sales and trade.
  • Proactive in identifying new opportunities throughout the marketplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by lead CSE such as maintaining business intelligence information, and customer contact files.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Spanish preferred and have multicultural awareness of the US Hispanic consumer.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Technical skills with the ability to interpret Business Intelligence Data.
  • Sales/Account management experience which will include monitoring market trends, identifying needs, and building relationships within all levels of a customer's organization.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically 25% of the time with some occasional travel to Mexico, and reside in Los Angeles, CA.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 2 years of CPG/food industry sales experience. Entry-level considered.
