Compliance Risk Analyst

At First Citizens Bank, we are seeking a skilled Compliance Risk Analyst to join our team. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for analysis and reporting to aid compliance efforts for the Bank. The ideal candidate will investigate and resolve discrepancies or suspicious activity identified in transactions, loans, or other business activities.
Maintaining a strong knowledge of Bank operations, systems, and regulations is essential to identify risks. The successful candidate will create reports for management on results of analysis and assist auditors or investigators with more advanced reviews of business operations.

Key Responsibilities- Data Analysis: Source, validate, and interpret data, analyzing it for discrepancies and risks, effectively communicating analysis output.
- Compliance Review: Research and investigate unusual activity or flagged documentation, processes, and transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Documentation: Compile all relevant business, process, or user information prior to compliance reviews, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness of required documentation.
- Business Support: Assist with regulatory exams, audits, risk assessments, and other related projects, identifying and recommending operational or process improvements.
This position requires a strong understanding of laws, regulations, procedures, and policies that affect the assigned business area. The ideal candidate will maintain this knowledge through ongoing research and industry involvement.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in Compliance or Anti-Money Laundering, Banking, or High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Compliance or Anti-Money Laundering, Banking.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life, with customized offerings including those designed to support families, however defined.
