Overview:

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our laboratory. This is a front-line leadership position that requires a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing and clinical relevance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general testing within the analytical core laboratory, including transfusion services.
  • Serve as a liaison with other laboratory departments and hospital services.
  • May perform phlebotomy and clinical and/or pathology specimen management duties as required.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives and department compliance with pertinent laboratory accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant laboratory work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory, Chemical or Biological Science required.
  • MLS with ASCP certification, or MT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification required.
