Position Overview:

The Claims Adjuster for Auto Liability and Bodily Injury plays a crucial role in evaluating and managing complex claims related to auto and commercial transportation incidents. This position involves thorough investigations, assessing liability, and determining the extent of damages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage intricate auto and commercial claims, ensuring meticulous documentation and accurate coding.
  • Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in dispute.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, including independent adjusters, to facilitate comprehensive investigations.
  • Notify excess carriers regarding significant claims.
  • Develop actionable plans to meet state-mandated contact deadlines and drive claims towards timely resolution.
  • Identify subrogation opportunities and manage salvage processes.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding claim progress with insured parties, clients, and brokers.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Support the organization’s quality initiatives.
  • Travel as required for claims-related activities.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Relevant professional certifications are a plus, along with the necessary state adjusting licenses.

Experience: A minimum of five years in claims management or a comparable combination of education and experience, with a strong understanding of personal and commercial auto policies.

Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of auto insurance policies and relevant legal principles.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and a collaborative mindset.
