Position Overview
The role of a Social Services Provider involves delivering essential rehabilitation counseling services, comprehensive referral assistance, and thorough evaluations for clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting intake assessments for adolescents
- Administering or completing mental health evaluations for youth
- Offering therapeutic counseling to individuals, groups, or families
- Collaborating or leading a treatment team to formulate and oversee effective treatment strategies
- Preparing and submitting necessary reports and documentation
- Participating in clinical supervision to improve mental health services
Required Qualifications :
A Social Services Provider 1 must possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Professional Counseling, or a Master's in Education Counseling. Additionally, eligibility for counselor licensure in the State of Georgia is required.
OR
A Social Services Provider 2 must have a Master's degree in the aforementioned fields along with a minimum of two years of relevant postgraduate experience. Licensure as a counselor in Georgia is essential.
Preferred Qualifications :
Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in a mental health discipline that qualifies for licensure by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists, in addition to the appropriate state licensure.
