Clinic-Based Mental Health Therapist/Clinician

River Edge is seeking an experienced mental health therapist to offer behavioral health services. The therapist will provide services to children aged 5 and up in the in-clinic setting. We are looking for candidates who want to build their experience with a wide range of behavioral health conditions in a professional atmosphere at an organization striving to be a leader in the nation in a growing program
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides individual and family therapy to individuals with a mental health and/or substance abuse disorder in a clinical setting or via telehealth to youth (and family)
- Completes behavioral health assessments, and treatment planning, and obtains authorizations for services to be provided to include completion of OTRs.
- Completes required documentation in a timely fashion in electronic medical records.
- Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments and provides crisis intervention as needed.
- Attends staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and clinical supervision.
- Refers client or family to community resources to assist in recovery from mental health, substance abuse, and/or other areas of functioning.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing set standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Adheres to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, ASO, DBHDD, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.
- Updates job knowledge by maintaining licensure, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, etc.
Location/Schedule:
- Based out of our office located at 175 Emery Hwy, Macon, GA 31217: typically.
- Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with the expectation that some extended afternoon hours may be required to accommodate client needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage & family counseling or rehab counseling, and eligibility to be licensed (LPC/APC, LCSW/LMSW, or LMFT/AMFT). Must pursue licensure upon hire.
- Associate or full clinical license preferred (LPC/APC, LCSW/LMSW, or LMFT/AMFT)
- Provide 2 Professional references.
- All applicants must pass a satisfactory background clearance and pre-employment drug test.
