Geriatric Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ChristianaCare Hospital's 6A - Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients and families to deliver high-quality care that supports older adults facing acute illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients aged 70 and above, focusing on maintaining function, providing education, and ensuring safety.
- Manage a caseload of 5 medical patients per shift, working collaboratively with a Nurse Practitioner, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in relationship-based care, building strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, guided by ChristianaCare's values of love and excellence.

Requirements:
- Delaware RN License or Compact Nursing License.
- BSN required; ADN candidates must obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire date.
- One year of experience as an RN; Gerontology Certification preferred.
- BLS required.
