Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Telecommunications & Supplier Management Team with documentation oversight and contract management for telecommunications contracts.
  • Manage telecommunications contracts and suppliers, ensuring compliance with Virginia's Public Procurement Act (VPPA) and other relevant regulations.
  • Evaluate and suggest contract language, making recommendations to improve supplier performance and adherence to contracts.
  • Assist with the management of supplier performance issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Develop and document processes, using tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, and SharePoint to convey issues and oversee work.
  • Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills, working with stakeholders at all levels to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
  • Work under tight deadlines, managing multiple simultaneous efforts and prioritizing tasks to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with matrixed teams, providing coverage when team members are out of the office and learning to act as a subject matter expert for telecommunications contract procurement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunications contract management and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication and research skills, with the ability to understand and apply Virginia's Public Procurement Act (VPPA) to technology contracts.
  • Experience with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and supplier performance management.
  • Ability to learn and use technology to convey issues and oversee work, including Visio, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • High level of attention to detail, with the ability to update webpage pricing and available devices, perform data entry, and manage artifacts in SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with flowcharting (Visio or similar) and excellent analytical skills.
  • Interest in expanding skills and developing a career path in contract management and supplier management.
