Job Title: Financial Specialist Lead

The Financial Specialist Lead plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the banking center. This individual ensures seamless day-to-day operations by maintaining strict adherence to bank policies and procedures. By processing transactions, opening deposit accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service, the Financial Specialist Lead contributes significantly to a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Processing: Diligently process transactions in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
  • Transaction Balancing: Balance transactions and cash, ensuring negotiability and an adequate audit trail.
  • End-of-Day Processes: Balance end-of-day processes and train other team members to do the same.
  • Decision Making: Make decisions and approve higher-level transactions and tasks within established guidelines.
  • Customer Expansion: Identify customer expansion opportunities and refer customers to the appropriate bank personnel.
  • Account Maintenance: Assist customers with opening deposit accounts and ancillary deposit services, perform account maintenance, and thoroughly research and resolve customer service issues and outages.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and train new employees, sharing the ANBTX culture.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 4+ years of customer service experience in new accounts, with 4 years of account opening experience.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems; some knowledge of retail products and services; proven customer service and interpersonal skills; effective selling, cross-selling, and referral skills; strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; ability to perform simple math.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Physical Demands: Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs.
  • Work Schedule: Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position.
