Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) play a critical role in delivering urgent and emergency care to patients facing severe or potentially life-threatening conditions. These professionals thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced settings and must possess strong critical thinking skills to make rapid decisions that prioritize patient safety and well-being. Key responsibilities of an ER RN include:
1. Evaluating patients' conditions, including monitoring vital signs, taking medical histories, and conducting physical assessments
2. Crafting and executing personalized care plans for patients, which involve administering medications and treatments
3. Observing patients for any changes in their condition and responding appropriately
4. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients effectively
5. Utilizing and overseeing medical equipment, such as IV pumps and cardiac monitors
6. Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and ensuring effective communication with other healthcare team members to guarantee continuity of care
7. Offering education and emotional support to patients and their families
To qualify for the ER RN role, candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and possess a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in their respective state. Many ER RNs also pursue certifications, such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), to enhance their expertise and qualifications for working in emergency care settings.
This position is a contracted travel role rather than a full-time position.

TLC Nursing Job ID # Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
