The Audiovisual Equipment Specialist is responsible for the setup, operation, and dismantling of audiovisual systems in various event settings. The position involves significant travel, with opportunities to work both locally and nationally throughout the year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of audiovisual systems, particularly in video projection.
  • A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in the AV industry, focusing on staging production workflows.
  • Advanced technical expertise in audiovisual equipment, including operation, repair, and maintenance of projection systems.
  • Experience in managing production for live events across corporate, theatrical, and entertainment sectors.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to effectively collaborate with both internal teams and external clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of projection technologies, video systems, and control mechanisms.
  • Experience in the installation and configuration of visual displays, including large-scale projection and LED setups.
  • Familiarity with system engineering and video image processing techniques.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, mechanical engineering principles, and lighting design.
  • Ability to operate a variety of AV equipment during live events and support on-site management.
  • Basic proficiency in MAC OS and video/audio editing software.
  • Fundamental knowledge of photography and film techniques, particularly in lighting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update equipment orders using inventory management systems.
  • Align projection systems and calculate lens specifications.
  • Assemble, pack, and maintain projection screens.
  • Possess a working knowledge of signal types, distribution methods, and conversion systems to ensure optimal setup.
  • Access and manage power distribution and voltage requirements.
  • Set up equipment according to technical drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, technical directors, and clients.
  • Utilize ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as necessary for equipment setup.
  • Assist in warehouse operations, including quality control, equipment preparation, and loading.
  • Potential responsibilities may include driving commercial vehicles and operating forklifts, with necessary certifications.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
