Key Responsibilities
  • Prevent and respond to emergencies in the pool area, utilizing lifeguarding skills and rescue techniques to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses.
  • Act swiftly and decisively in emergency situations, using aquatic rescue equipment as needed.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations consistently in a professional and customer service-oriented manner.
  • Support a diverse and inclusive environment, demonstrating a willingness and ability to work with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe and enjoyable pool environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR for the Professional Rescuer, or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate all required swim and rescue skills, including the Swim Test, Brick Test, Legs Only Tread, Rescue Skills Scenarios, Spinal Injury Management, CPR/AED/First Aid Scenarios.
  • Leadership and public relations skills, with the ability to make quick decisions and take decisive action.
  • Responsibility, alertness, dependability, and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
