Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Mobile Crisis Team at Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center Inc. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in social work or a related field, with professional licensure (LCSW-C, LCPC only).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and crisis intervention services to individuals in the community experiencing a psychiatric or behavioral emergency.
  • Work collaboratively with other MCT members, police, and collateral others to determine client needs and develop effective interventions.
  • Document all calls before the end of shift and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in program evaluation by sending surveys to recipients of service as per protocol.
  • Represent Grassroots at health fairs and other community events as requested.
  • Communicate with peers on shift regarding operations and client updates.
  • Actively participate in Crisis Team and MCT meetings to ensure up-to-date information is communicated to clients.
  • Provide training and orientation to new staff as requested.
  • Complete all administrative duties, including time sheets and leave requests.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work or a related field with professional licensure (LCSW-C, LCPC only).
  • Two years of relevant experience in mental health services, with at least two years in crisis intervention services, suicide prevention, and intervention.
  • Knowledge of homelessness issues a plus.
  • Ability to function successfully in an environment requiring immediate response to urgent situations.
  • Spontaneous supervision of staff in real-time.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with local and statewide community resources.
