Job Summary

  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.

  • Medical Equipment
    • Describes experience with basic medical equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.

  • Medical Order Processing
    • Shares experiences in processing medical orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Describes functions and features of the system used to enter, validate, and forward medical orders.
  • Patient Chart Reading and Interpretation
    • Describes experiences in reading and interpreting patient charts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Reviews patients' charts for completion and accuracy, identifying and alerting to mistakes or omissions.
  • Patient Safety

    • Recognizes and addresses physiological and psychological signs of problems, ensuring timely intervention.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
  • RN License in state of employment or compact
  • BLS required
