Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Professional to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our financial services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of patient financial services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Revenue Cycle Management: Perform revenue cycle functions in a manner that meets or exceeds Christus Health's key performance metrics.
  • Quality and Productivity: Ensure that departmental quality and productivity standards are met, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Patient and Payor Communication: Collect and provide patient and payor information to facilitate account resolution, and respond to all types of account inquiries through written, verbal, or electronic correspondence.
  • Payor Knowledge: Maintain payor-specific knowledge of insurance and self-pay billing and follow-up guidelines and regulations for third-party payers.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide professional and effective written and verbal communication with both internal and external customers to resolve outstanding questions and resolve accounts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all Christus Health, payer, and government regulations, and maintain a strong working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding regulations and guidelines.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Collection Balances: Collect balances due from payors, ensuring proper reimbursement for all services.
  • Denial Resolution: Identify and forward proper account denial information to the designated departmental liaison, and dedicate efforts to ensure a proper denial resolution and timely turnaround.
  • Collection Requirements: Maintain an active knowledge of all collection requirements by payors, and work the collector queue daily utilizing appropriate collection systems and reports.
  • Bill Forms and Filing: Demonstrate knowledge of standard bill forms and filing requirements, and identify and resolve underpayments and credit balances within payor timely guidelines.
  • Trend Identification: Identify and communicate trends impacting account resolution.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
