Job Description

Thinkery is a vibrant cultural institution that fosters innovative, play-based learning experiences for children and their families. As a Museum Experience Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering our mission and core values through exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and collaborative leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Supervise: Oversee the team at Thinkery's Del Valle location, ensuring seamless daily operations, staffing, and guest experiences.
  • Develop and Implement: Collaborate with internal teams to maintain exhibits, learning spaces, and inventory, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for guests.
  • Train and Coach: Provide location-specific coaching, mentoring, and continuous training for the Museum Experience team, adapting and improving onboarding and professional development processes.
  • Manage Scheduling and Staffing: Oversee scheduling, ensuring staff availability matches budgeted staffing plans, projected attendance, and museum needs.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Learning Experience and STEAM Learning Institute teams to develop and conduct high-quality educational experiences, ensuring alignment with museum standards.
  • Monitor and Report: Prepare and maintain reports on performance, budget, and guest satisfaction, using data to inform decision-making and drive improvement.

  • Leadership and Supervision: Proven experience in leading and supervising teams, with a focus on customer service, operational excellence, and collaborative leadership.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, guests, and community partners.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to successfully problem-solve and adapt to changing circumstances, with a focus on finding creative solutions and improving processes.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Familiarity with and experience working in the Del Valle community, with a strong understanding of the needs and preferences of children and families.
